Sports Carnival 2018

Despite the continuous threat of rain, Sports Carnival 2018 was a great success with huge numbers of students competing in all  events and team games. It was a great day were students and staff participated actively  and with great enthusiasm.

With the unrivalled commentary of Mr. Hunter, students competed in a number of individual and team events to get points for their House. Hurdles, Discuss,Relays and a number of team games culminated weeks for pre-carnival events.  Some students fiercely competed for a win while others had a more festive and relaxed approach. Either way, the atmosphere of encouragement and fun was always present.

As usual, it was a specially emotional Sports Carnival for our Year 12s as they participated for their last year at Leeming Senior High School. To conclude the carnival, Year 12s put their strength to test with a tug of war that had Ramsdale and Findlay fighting it off to be the 2018 winners. Congratulations to Year 12 Ramsdale for your quick and seemingly easy win!

A special mention to the P&C  for their fabulous Barbecue and cake stall and for organising the ice-cream truck!

This magnificent event requires a lot of work in the background. Everyone pitched in to help for the set up, during the carnival and to pack it all up at the end.

Congratulations to Grady on your 2018 Sports Carnival Win!
