Straight Six 2018

After having to be postponed from its initial scheduled day due to wet weather, the 27th Leeming Straight Six was finally under way on Friday 28 August during recess.

The Year 7 students lead the way, racing their friends along the corridor track. James and Emma now join an illustrious group as a winner of the Straight Six and have established their own piece of history.

This year’s events had extra interest as many students were trying to maintain winning streaks from previous years.

Isabel (Year 8) as well as Shanece and Jayden (Year 9) are all undefeated over the 60 metre sprint.

Ruby, in Year 10, has won since Year 7 and is on track to be the first student to take the title all 6 years. Since our current Year 10s and the first to have started High School in Year 7 in 2015 nobody has managed a clean sweep over 6 years.

Our Year 12 student Mitchell is to be congratulated as he pulled off a clean sweep winning on every event since he started High School in Year 8. After this win Mitchell becomes 1 of only 5 students who have achieved this feat. Isobel was pipped on the line by Makayla to win a tight Year 12 girls race.
